Where You'll See Tone Boxes on the Site
ToneBoxes are part of a broader system. You'll encounter them across different tools and lessons throughout the CLF platform — reinforcing what you learn and letting you apply it in more complex contexts.
Places you'll see them used:
- Tone Master Tool — create, practise, and navigate through multiple tones
- Gedney Boxes — compare tone systems across Thai dialects
- Tone Mapper — map tones across entire tonal languages (e.g. Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese)
- Lessons — inline ToneBoxes help you connect content to sound
You don’t need to master everything at once — just know that these ToneBoxes will keep showing up to help anchor you as you progress through CLF’s language learning system.
